ABOUT
Dane Tucker, Photographer & Creative Director
What I aim for.
To provide a space where wedding photography feels less like performance and more like presence.
To combine cinematic aesthetics with emotion led storytelling to create imagery that, at it’s best, makes people feel seen.
To create timeless images that combine the aesthetics of cinematography and the nostalgia of 35 mm and medium format film, whilst always being grounded in emotional truth.
And to make people look iconic at the same time.
In 2000 Dane was named Dux of his small suburban primary school. His mother was told ‘you look like you need a stiff drink’ she could so scarcely believe the news. Two decades passed without any achievement of note. These were dark years.
Then, in late 2021 Dane had a spontaneous return to form and was named one of the 30 Top Emerging Wedding Photographers in the world by one of the photography industry’s leading publications based out of NYC.
I’ll stop writing in the third person now.
Because while awards are nice, they aren’t really the point.
What matters is what I can create for you.
Scratch that.
What I can create with you.
Things that inspire me / bring me joy
Impeccably shot films that make me think
A piece of citrus and a black coffee as the sun rises on a cold winter morning, preferably immediately after being in the ocean
Classic portraiture shot on film
Superb fairy wrens
Long runs and long books
Documenting my life on film cameras that are laughably impractical
Being on, in, and under the ocean
If any of what you’ve seen feels aligned, get in touch.
